Alex and I regularly worked together for over six years as anchor and producer at CNN, on many of the world's biggest sports news stories and events. I first met Alex virtually when he was a panelist at my journalism school’s career day where he spoke passionately about CNN and his extensive broadcasting career.
I reached out to him afterwards and he was extremely generous with his time and encouraged me to apply for the CNN sports internship role. Thanks to him helping me interview prep, I landed the internship and we got to be colleagues in sports working together for 15 months.
During that time, I was impressed by his meticulous nature, compelling storytelling and extensive sports and current affairs knowledge.
